FEE REDUCTION AGREEMENT

WITH REGULAR ATTENDANCE

1. PURPOSE OF THIS AGREEMENT. This agreement offers a reduced session fee, intended for clients who wish to engage in regular and consistent therapy sessions scheduled within a reasonable and clinically appropriate timeframe. Therapy time is reserved exclusively for you. The reduced rate reflects the intention to participate consistently in treatment during this period, and is reserved for clients who wish to engage in this manner.

2. FEES & PAYMENT TERMS

Standard individual therapy session fee: $155
Reduced session fee under this agreement: $132

Payment Structure:

  • Sessions are charged individually at the discounted rate of $132 as they occur.

  • No payment is collected for sessions not yet provided.

  • A valid credit card must be kept on file.

  • Charges are processed in accordance with the Credit Card Authorization.

The reduced rate applies while the client is actively engaged in the agreed-upon course of treatment, and consistently attending sessions. Client is free to discontinue sessions or take “breaks” from sessions at any time, with the understanding that the discounted rate may not apply following extended absences or Client’s decision to stop attending. The Therapist may also, at their discretion, waive or reduce a fee on a one-time basis. Any such waiver does not modify this Agreement or guarantee future exceptions or waivers.

3. ATTENDANCE COMMITMENT. Clients receiving the reduced rate are encouraged to (a) schedule sessions at regular intervals (typically weekly or biweekly); (b) make reasonable efforts to attend consistently, (c) and communicate regarding scheduling changes in advance.

This option is intended for clients seeking consistent treatment rather than sporadic or “as-needed” sessions. Clients are encouraged to attend sessions regularly in order to support clinical progress. If attendance becomes inconsistent or sessions are scheduled with extended gaps, the therapist may revert future sessions to the standard fee of $155 with advance notice.

4. MISSED APPOINTMENTS & LATE CANCELLATIONS. A missed appointment includes “no shows” and cancellations made with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice. If this occurs, Therapist will charge a $100 “missed appointment” fee to the credit card on file. This applies regardless of reason, unless explicitly waived under the Cancellation Policy. Missed appointment fees are flat-rate, non-refundable fees. Processing fees are not passed on to clients.

5. INACTIVITY & SCHEDULING GAPS. This agreement is intended for active participation in treatment, for those who wish to engage in ongoing, consistent treatment. If an extended period of time passes without an attended session, no plan to continue sessions between therapist and client, and no future session is scheduled, the therapist may, (a) close the client’s chart administratively, and/or (b) revert any future sessions to the standard rate of $155. The therapist will not charge for sessions not provided unless otherwise outlined in writing.

A “plan” to continue therapy exists only if documented in writing and includes (a) a future scheduled session, or (b) a written agreement confirming the reason for a client pause in sessions, and a clear timeframe to resume therapy, no more than three (3) months out.

6. UNUSED SESSIONS. Because sessions are billed only as they occur, there are no forfeited sessions, no expiration penalties, and the therapist will not charge for unused or unscheduled sessions.
If the client chooses to discontinue therapy, no further financial obligation applies beyond any outstanding cancellation fees, and future sessions will revert back to the regular standard price should client wish to return to therapist.

7. THERAPIST-INITIATED TERMINATION. If therapy is terminated by the therapist for clinical, ethical, or administrative reasons, sessions already provided shall remain due and payable; however, no charges will be made for services not rendered by therapist.

8. SESSION LENGTH & SCOPE. This applies to standard individual therapy sessions as offered by the practice. Brief sessions (5–37 minutes) do not count toward sessions unless explicitly agreed upon and stated in writing. Sessions shall be considered to be the standard therapy session only (38 minutes +).

9. HIERARCHY OF DOCUMENTS. This agreement applies only to clients who elect the consistent treatment option. If there is any conflict (between this Agreement, Practice Policies, Cancellation Policy, Credit Card Authorization), this Agreement controls.. All other policies remain in effect.

10. GOVERNING LAW. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York.
