Anxiety therapy for overthinkers, overgivers
and the "Type A” high-achievers of New York.
By Krystle Hearley
MOST OF MY CLIENTS FALL INTO ONE OR MORE OF THESE PATTERNS:
The Overgiver
You consider yourself empathetic and find meaning in supporting others. But over time, your self-worth has become tied to being needed. You find yourself people-pleasing, prioritizing others’ emotions, and feeling guilty when you try to put yourself first.
You’ve spent your life showing up for everyone else. Now it’s time to show up for you.
The OverTHINKER
On the outside, you have it all together. On the inside, your mind never slows down. You’re battling the constant pressure of high expectations and often find yourself stuck in perfectionism paralysis because you fear that one wrong move will derail everything.
You’ve spent so much time trying to get it “right.” Now it’s time to feel at ease in your own decisions.
The pivot point
You are in your 30s or 40s and have hit a psychological wall. You recognize what isn’t working, but don’t know how to change it. You feel stuck in life that is no longer in alignment with who you actually are.
You can’t go back to who you were. But you don’t have to stay here either.
The role I play
Helping you understand how they connect, so you can start responding differently in your day-to-day life
Introducing
The Arden Way Framework
This is my signature, five-layered framework designed to help you understand your patterns, change the way you think, and move through life with more clarity and confidence.
These layers are not a rigid sequence of steps. They often overlap, build on one another, and are tailored to your specific patterns and experiences. Rather than moving at a set pace, we focus on the areas that will create the most meaningful change for you.
What we can work on together
If you’re here, you likely already know what isn’t working—you just don’t know how to change it. Our work together focuses on helping you understand why those patterns keep happening and, more importantly, how to shift them.
My specialities
Therapy for Overthinking & High-Functioning Anxiety
On the outside, you have it all together. You meet every deadline, anticipate every problem, and never let a ball drop. Internally, however, a constant voice that tells you that you are one mistake away from everything falling apart. This brand of perfectionism leads to a secret exhaustion and a feeling of being a fraud despite your success.
Self-Worth Therapy
& Low Self-Esteem
Many people enter their 30s and 40s carrying internalized expectations about what their life “should” look like. When reality doesn’t match that blueprint, it can show up as self-doubt, comparison, or a persistent sense of not being enough. Therapy can help you untangle those beliefs and rebuild a more grounded sense of self-worth that isn’t dependent on external milestones or societal timelines.
Therapy for Relationship Patterns & Setting Healthy Boundaries
You are likely the person everyone calls because they know you will say yes. You’ve become the emotional anchor for your friends, your family, and maybe even your workplace. While you value being helpful, your self-worth has become dangerously tied to being needed.
Therapy for Feeling
Stuck & Life Transitions
Feeling stuck is often less about something being wrong and more about reaching a natural turning point. Many people notice during life transitions, such as in midlife, when old goals no longer feel meaningful, but new direction hasn’t fully formed yet. This in-between space can feel uncomfortable, but it can also be an opportunity to reassess priorities and move toward a life that feels more aligned and intentional.

Investment & Fees
The full rate for my 45-minute individual therapy session is $155 (CPT code: 90834). There are several ways this cost can be reduced:
Out-of-network insurance benefits can offset the fee significantly
Clients who attend regularly (every 1–2 weeks) receive 15% off
A limited number of reduced-rate spots (25% off) are available for those experiencing financial hardship
I believe therapy should be accessible. If cost is a concern, I'm happy to discuss what works for your situation.
Please note: Your first appointment is a dedicated 45-minute session where we assess what's bringing you in, discuss your goals, and determine whether we're a good fit to work together. The fee for this session is $180.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. Most clients I work with are high‑functioning, thoughtful people who feel stuck internally, want support navigating life transitions, or want deeper self‑understanding. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy; in fact, many people start therapy to prevent overwhelm before it becomes unmanageable.
-
Therapy is deeply relational, and fit matters. Not every therapist or approach works for every person. Sometimes the earlier experience wasn’t the right match in terms of style, depth, or modality. I work collaboratively with each client to tailor the approach so it feels more aligned with your needs.
-
That’s actually something we can work on together. Overthinking in therapy is very common, and it’s often one of the patterns people bring to the work. Therapy is a safe space to explore your thoughts at your pace (even the “meta” thinking about the therapy itself) and we’ll gently build awareness, comfort, and trust over time.

I do not bill insurance directly as an in‑network provider, but many clients are able to use out‑of‑network benefits through their insurance plans.
Out-of-network benefits vary widely, by plan and provider — PPO and some POS plans often include out‑of‑network coverage, while many HMO or EPO plans do not.
If you have OON benefits, I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. I work directly with them to submit and manage the claims for you, after you sign up and provide us with your insurance information. OON benefits most often have a deductible to meet first. Once you meet it, you have the option to pay a reduced fee for our sessions, instead of needing to pay my full rate and waiting for a reimbursement check.
Please use the following widget to check whether you have OON benefits and your expected fee post deductible. -
You’re still welcome to work with me on a private‑pay basis. We’ll talk about fee structure, and any sliding scale availability I may have.
Therapy shouldn’t be inaccessible, so I’m happy to discuss what works best for your situation

Therapy isn’t always linear, but you might catch yourself noticing you handled something differently–in understanding yourself better, making decisions with more ease, or feeling less overwhelmed by the very patterns that brought you here.
I periodically check in with you about goals and progress to ensure we’re moving in a way that feels meaningful and effective.
